We rented Can Mestres for a week in april to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. In all aspects, Can Mestres exceeded our expectations. The beautiful old house is precisely as depicted in the pictures, spotlessly clean and every care has been taken by the owners to preserve the beautiful charecter of the house, it is in short fantastic. The location is brilliant and we had big plans for excursions during our stay but found that the house and all it has to offer was so comfortable that we mainly stayed to „do nothing“ as our host Christian had recommended. Well, we didn‘t exactly do nothing, we utilized the barbecue every day, enjoyed the swimmigpool and pool area as well as the game-room and sitting in the beautiful garden. Some of us went on an excursion to Montserrat and we also enjoyed a walk through the market in the nearby old town of El Garriga, but otherwise we were busy enjoying life at Can Mestres.
Talking about the hosts, Imma and Christian went above and beyond what one could expect of hosts. Imma was inviting and quick to respond during and after the booking. When we finally arrived we got a really nice tour around the house and grounds and enjoyed our talk with Christian who welcomed us (as Imma was away) like old family friends. When Imma came back she also turned up with her son Jordi to welcome us in the same manner. Imma and Christian would do most anything for their guests, they were even prepared to take my mother and mother in law to a nearby restaurant on the evening when the rest of the family was away for an evening in Barcelona.
All in all - a beautiful, clean and comfortable villa in a fantastic location and hosts were really welcoming. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here again with friends or family and recommend beautiful Can Mestres to others.
Imma and Christian, thank you for being such honest and wonderful hosts and giving other people the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful house.
