We stayed at Cadí Rural with my family for two nights and honestly wish we had stayed longer, we absolutely loved it!
The house is super cozy, spacious, and fully equipped with everything you need. The fireplace and heating system make it perfect for winter, and the kitchen is incredibly complete. There’s also everything needed for a barbecue and a small outdoor table to enjoy the surroundings when the weather allows.
We were lucky to wake up on our second day to a completely snowy landscape, we went to sleep with no snow and woke up to magical white views of the Cadí mountains. We couldn’t get enough of simply contemplating the beauty around us.
A quick tip: try to arrive during daylight, as the access road is narrow and winding. Also, as the hosts advised us too, make sure to do your grocery shopping beforehand, as there are no shops in the village (La Seu d’Urgell has great supermarkets). If visiting in winter, bring snow chains, they’re essential if you’re not used to driving in snow.
Susana was incredibly attentive, providing clear instructions in advance, helpful local tips, and updates about road conditions. She even told us about sleds stored at the house, and yes, even five adults had a great time playing in the snow!
This was my parents’ first time ever seeing snow, and because of that, this place will forever hold a very special place in our family memories. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot for such a magical experience!
